Why Have a Job When You Can Be Creative!
Sir Ken Robinson made a speech trying to convey his beliefs on the education system today. I honestly have to say that I do not really agree completely with him. Yes, the education system is trying to educate out creativity, but in this world creativity gets you nowhere unless you have a real talent at what you do. Having an education gets you a career, or in some cases, a simple job. But money is money. Sir Ken Robinson is looking like a hypocrite. He used to be a college professor; he helped educate the creativity out of people. I don’t know his complete methods, but he is sounding biased.
I can not take this man seriously in the least bit when I first see him. The first thing going through his mind is that he somehow reminds me of Nigel Powers (off of the movie Austin Powers: Goldmember). We can’t change the world fast, if you do, things will not work properly. If we start nursing creativity in school, things are going to get hectic and unorganized. Also, doing it all at once, we will have a major amount of jobs open up. Nobody thinks of the long run effect, they think of how it will be at first. For example, you can give all the starving kids in the world some food, but they will just end up hungry again later.
